My Great Great Grandma Funeral Trip

OK, so my great great Grandma, her name is Grandma Haas, died on March ninth 2010. She was 94 years old and fighting pneumonia. She got very sick on the fourth from pneumonia. She had to go into the hospital and be watched. Now at this point everyone was expecting her death, but not in a bad way because she was 94 and had pneumonia. We have a reunion every year and she’s there and we keep saying probably this year is her last, but she was a fighter. But anyway that’s why I wasn’t at school on Friday, March 12th, I woke up that morning and we got in the car for an eight hour car ride, to Ohio, not including stops.  Okay, that’s a long ride. So we get up there to Ohio and get in our hotel room and get dressed to go to the viewing. Now you have to understand something, I maybe have said hi to her once a year since I was seven or so, so I have said around seven times. So I wasn’t too sad because I didn’t know her that well, but I did tear-up because when I see other people I’m close to cry it makes me want to cry. So that ends around eight at night but we all probably didn’t leave till like eight thirty, because the Haas family is never on time. They all normally get to where we are going within the hour it started but leaves an hour after it ends. So every year during the reunion we go to Cedar Point, the amusement park, and after that we go to a little diner called Dianna’s – that’s the whole name, just her name. Well we went there after the viewing to eat dinner. Next to the diner there is this goofy golf place. OK I hate clowns, OK they creep me out. This place is all about clowns. There is one outside and sometimes I stare at it for too long and I feel like it starts walking toward me. So after Dianna’s we went to a club (straight red-neck club) and after that we went home and watched 40-Year Old Virgin on Bravo, great movie, I mean I have seen it before but not in a long time. So after that the movie we all went to bed. The next morning I got up at seven to get ready because we were leaving after the funeral and events and not going back to the hotel so I had to pack my bag. So my step dad was a pallbearer and do he had to help carry the coffin, because his father was supposed to but couldn’t be cause he wasn’t feeling well. Now this is the second death in the family in like 2-3 months because Grandma Haas had twelve children, seven boys and five girls and one of her sons died before her, his name was Dave but that is another story. So we go back to the funeral home to pray and then we went to a church to talk about her and do all the things they do for catholic people. OK NO offense to catholic people here, that was the most boring ceremony I have every been in. OK the worst part was with the priest and his little smoke thing and he smokes the little ritual he is doing and the casket and man this stuff smells horrible I thought I was going to throw-up. So after that we got to the grave site, we said a couple words, now this was miserable too, not the whole boring thing because it wasn’t that boring, it was that it was forty degrees and wind at 10-20 miles and all the women got to sit in the tent thing and guys didn’t which I was polite about but there was still plenty of room for me, but they said I couldn’t go in so I froze my skin off while the girls we protected from the wind. So after that we all went back to the church and had lunch they all prepared, it was good. Then after that we went to another club but this was not a club club it was a big room to play bingo in, but we didn’t play bingo.  So we all talked until about four thirty and we had to head back because we had another eight hour drive. So while we drove home we played a couple car games, listened to music, started a movie but got bored. So we get home at 12:40 last night, I don’t know if you want to consider it that we got home on Saturday night march thirteenth on if you say Sunday march fourteenth, but anyway now I am here writing to you.

my social science fair paper

The Greek Gods, real or fake. Some believe they are real and live on Mount Olympus and some believe they don’t. I think the do but don’t at the same time. There is no evidence to prove that, so I am going to tell you about the twelve Greek gods, find out why they where created, and who created them.

Who were the Greeks Gods? There are twelve main gods. The three main ones are Zeus who is the god of the sky. He is basically the top dog of all the gods. Then the other two are his two brothers, they are Poseidon, who is god of the sea and the creator of the horse. Hades, who is the god of the underworld. Then there are the other nine gods who are Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Hephaestus, Hera, and Hermes. Only these gods have chairs in mount Olympus.

Zeus, the god of the sky. He is like I said,” Top dog.” He has this lightning bolt at his sided, kind of like Poseidon has his trident and Hades has his two-prong pitch-fork. Well anyways he pretty much runs everythttp://start.ubuntu.com/9.10/hing and everyone. He has the head seat in Olympus. His wife’s name is Hera, the goddess of marriage and queen of the gods. He has many, many children; a couple main ones are Ares, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, Dionysus, Hebe, Hermes, Heracles, Helen, Hephaestus, ect. He normally stays in Mount Olympus.

Poseidon, the god of the sea. He is pretty much next in line because a lot of people don’t like Hades as much. He has his trident at his side and also has a seat on Mount Olympus. His wife’s name is Amphitrite, a nymph and ancient sea-goddess. He also has many children; Theseus, Triton they are just 2 of many more. He normally stays in Atlantis unless he is needed in Olympus

Hades, the god of the underworld. He is next in line of authority. He has his two-prong pitch-fork at his side. His wife’s name is Persephone is the goddess of the underworld. He had no children. He normally lives in the under world unless he is direly needed in Mount Olympus.

The rest are Aphrodite is the goddess of love. Apollo is the god of music. Ares is the god of war. Artemis is the god of the hunt. Athena is the goddess of wisdom. Demeter is the earth goddess. Hephaestus is the god of fire. Hera is the goddess of marriage. Hermes is the great messenger of the gods. They all and all the rest play a very important part in the Greek life and many others too.

Only Child, Kind Of

So I’m on only child, kind of, but I have three step sibling and one half-sister.

My step-siblings are Joe, Sam, and Megan. Joe is 20 and in college, Sam is 17 and a senior at Potomac Falls, and finally there is megan who is 13 and in 8th grade. They live with there mom and there dad lives with my mom so I don’t see them a lot and I live with my dad so that also effects it.

My half-sister is my dad’s child but with my step mom. Her name is Piper, she is only 5 months old so she doesn’t help when I have nothing to do.

So I guess what I am saying that being a only child sucks

TV Shows

So lately i have been into a couple TV shows, they are Bones, Ghost Whisperer, Castle, Glee, and Chuck but chuck comes out again in january.

Bones is great it is about a scientist that specializes in bones and she is pared up with an FbI agent and they solve murders together, that is about it.

Castle is very close to the same thing. It is a writer that writes about mystery murders and was pared with an agent to some firm and they solve crimes together.

Ghost whisperer is about a lady that can see and talk to ghost, she helps to solve the ghost’s murder and help them cross over.

Glee is about a club that sings

Finally there is chuck. Ii is about a guy that has all of the government’s secrets and every one wants him dead.

All of these are hard to describe too much, I guess you will have to watch them for yourself

golf

Golf is such a great sport. It is so fun.
A golf club has a shaft, head, soul and grip.
The shaft, is the long rod part that connects the heard and the
grip.
The grip is the colored part on the end that is comfy that
you hold the club by.
The head is the part at the end of the club that is big on a
driver and smaller on an iron.
The soul is the flat part on the head that you hit the ball with.
There are many kinds of clubs, there are drivers, woods,
irons, wedges, and putters.
Drivers are clubs with really big heads and they hit really far.
Woods are the next level down, they are just smaller the
driver. There is a 3 wood and a 5 wood. The 3 wood hits about 50 yards
less than a driver. The 5 wood hits about 30 yards less than the 3 wood.
      Iron are the next level down. There is a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ,8 ,9
irons. They all hit a little farther than the other. The 3 iron hits
the farthest, then it makes it way down.
The wedges are special for specific things. There is a
pitching, sand, and ground wedge,(that i know of.)  The pitching is
for pitching onto the green, the sand is for hitting out of sand and
the ground one, well i don’t know what that one does, i just learned
it today.
And finally there is the putters, they put the ball into
the hole once it is on the green.
There is many more about golf but there is way to much to
write down, so i a
going to let you do the rest of the research if you want to know.

Extra tooth

Extra tooth

Yanking it out of my mouth, it hurt so much. Now that I think about it, I was going to look much better.

It all started when I was in elementary school. I had this weird tooth start growing in between my two front teeth. My mom thought it was odd. However, to me it was cool. It didn’t take long for it to grow and it was probably there for about three and a half months.

After a while my mom took me to the dentist. He called the tooth an “egg tooth” it was shaped like an egg but skinnier. They said come back in a week and, we will see what we can do.

We came back and they said bacteria in my gums formed it. They said they would take it out and and close the gap with a retainer, so we decided to get rid of it.

My dentist wasn’t so bright; he forgot to put the numbing stuff on my tooth. So he is yanking the tooth out of my mouth. When he finally gets it out, my mouth swelled up immediately. He put the retainer in about a week later. He fixed the gap most of the way, but it was not good enough.

That’s my story about my painful tooth extraction.
